Aiming for
the big sticks

Randall Gould told us the score

It's nearly finals time again. C'mon the Eagles, Spitfires, Maggies ... whatever's your fancy, get out there and see if you can't barrack them into the final four.
So far the unbeaten Hawkes look hot for a spot, but Ali Curung's close behind, Sporties are hanging in, there's a whole mob in the middle and the Swans have the wooden spoon squarely in their sights.
It's been a great year so far with eight teams looking to make it through the season for the first time. The dedication of the team workers, umpires, medical support, and of course the players, shows that the Barkly takes its footy very seriously indeed.
Willowra's Newton Long with 71 goals on the board has a real chance to break the BAFL season record of 90 goals set in 1993 by Ross Bailey.
The Grand Final on the 21st August will settle once and for all who's the champs and who's the chumps.
